I Made The Journey: Beagle Point and Oevasy SG-Y D0

Landing at Surly’s Nest in Rodentia on June 2

I started the journey by hopping the four stations between the Bubble and Colonia-area, but instead of stopping by Colonia proper, I launched myself towards Beagle Point from Rodentia, the remote home of the FuelRats, on June 2, 2019.

One of many views of the Milky Way you get when you’re on the edge of it.
The paint job has looked better.
One of the local stars … and the Galaxy.
Far from home, on Beagle Point B 3 C (which was the farthest body at the time due to orbital mechanics)

Beagle Point is no longer the furthest reachable spot, but I did stop there on June 23 before going farther.

Lot of miles on Interstellar Rescue
The view from Oevasy SG-Y D0 – farther from Sol than Beagle Point.

Oevasy SG-Y D0 isn’t easy to get to. Best way to get there is to look at the wiki article on it and follow the path. Even with the extended jump range I had, I had one hop that required at least a level 1 boosted jump – remember that you’ll need mats for the return trip too!

One of a few Earth Like Worlds I discovered during the trip … and a very sorry paint job on IR.

I didn’t do a lot of planet mapping, but if the system seemed previously undiscovered, I would hop into the FSS and scan everything that way. Any Earth Like, Ammonia, or Water World would get mapped.

Back in some semblance of civilized space at Surly’s Nest in Rodentia, July 4.

I did stop at the station that’s close to Sagittarius A* and that’s why the paint job looks so good. Once I got there, it was actually quite a quick trip back – I’d skip a lot of stuff that earlier on I would have stayed around and mapped/scanned. But I was ready to be back in the Bubble.
