I find myself on Rainbow Six: Siege actually playing Ranked and Casual with some friends I’ve stumbled across a bit more than I would have expected.  All of these friends are much better than I am when it comes to playing this game, but I occasionally have moments of amazing luck …

The round starts with me as Kapkan, setting up some nasty trip bombs.  I realize that a drone from the opposing team has spotted me placing a trap.  After destroying the drone, I figured it might actually be worth it to move the trap one door along the path I expect the enemy to take, putting it down as low as I can … and don’t barricade that door, but barricade the door they saw me place the trap at.  With one of the recent updates, the laser isn’t as obvious, so the barricade isn’t always that necessary … especially if the enemy doesn’t think that door is trapped to start with.

My pleasure that my ruse worked is evident.

At one point I’m dissatisfied that Castle has locked off the area we’re defending.  I could have torn his barrier and put up a less effective one, but decided that I’d stay where I was and just deal with it.  Silly me forgets that the table in the kitchen is bulletproof.  But, the enemy gives me a second chance; and then after killing my teammate, the last enemy seems to forget that I’m there …
