No so sure I can finish it. People don’t say nice things to you when you walk around town.
At Least We LOOK Impressive …
There’s a bit of an issue with STAR WARS Battlefront‘s DLC (the ones you need a season pass or pay separately for). The new one, Outer Rim, came with two new heroes, at least one new game style (that’s not yet available on the other maps), and some additional new maps.
Thing is, much like the Night Ops addition to Battlefield 4, it rotates the game mode as well as the maps … and only the new maps. So, after playing a round or two of, say, Extraction, you end up playing a round of Heroes vs Villains … and not everyone is always up for that …

PS4 Streaming to Twitch: Pointers
This article may eventually include additional information regarding setting up Twitch.tv on the PS4, but for now is mostly about a few settings options you’ll want to look into, especially if you have an iPad. The short list of what you’ll need before you get going is:
- An account on Twitch.tv
- Logging into that account on the PS4
Star Wars: Battlefront
I’ve been a big fan of the Battlefield 4 game for a while on the PS3 (and some of the review will reference BF4 as a comparison). While there is Battlefield: Hardline (which I’ve not played, as the setting seems a bit contrived to me), and a new game in the series on the way, one of the spiritual successors of the game is Star Wars: Battlefront. A Day With The PlayStation 4
There was a time when I was working diligently on my CCIE studies, but it was slow going; I’ve been drawn to Battlefield 4 on the PS3 because I’ve found a few people to play with who are kind of cool to hang out with in game. Then came the impending expiration of my CCNP, so I studied up a bit, took an exam, and passed.
So things went downhill from there … in the sense that I’m still kind of “celebrating” the recertification, but haven’t yet gotten back into studying properly. Continue reading A Day With The PlayStation 4
God Of War Collection
The God of War series tells the story of a captain of the army of Sparta, Kratos. The stories in the first two games seem well thought out and made what would have been major frustrations I had with the games more minor annoyances. It becomes apparent when you think about that, just how much someone can forgive for a decent plot. Continue reading God Of War Collection
Portal 2 for the PS3
I’m not getting any younger. I know this because I recently had my 41st birthday. My lovely, loving wife indulged me and purchased several games for the PS3, one of them being Portal 2. Continue reading Portal 2 for the PS3
inFAMOUS for the PS3
So, for a while there, the PlayStation Network on the PS3 was unavailable. Seems some hackers broke in and stole credit card information, and it took Sony around a month before PSN required features (which may have included some games) were available again (thankfully this did not include Netflix streaming, or else someone would have died a slow, horrible, painful death). Along with some other things (like, say, credit monitoring protection), Sony gave PSN subscribers two games for free (from a very limited selection, at least one of which I already had and most of which I didn’t want). One of those was inFAMOUS, which I decided to download. One might suspect that Sony, aware that inFAMOUS 2 [was due to|had] launch[|ed] on June 7, might use this as a way to drum up interest in and sell copies of the sequel. SPORE
SPORE, from the folks at EA Games, is a game where you start out as a single cell organism and can grow and evolve up to a space-faring culture. I was a little wary of picking up this game, since there was some controversy regarding its DRM, which some have called “draconian.” I will say one thing for SPORE – you get both the PC version and Mac version on the same disk.
