Long Distance Travel In “Elite: Dangerous”

As I take a break from the return leg of my Grand Tour at Vihara Gate in Kashyapa, I figured I’d touch on some of the methods and decisions a player would need to make if they were going to do long distance travel in Elite: Dangerous.  It all depends on why you’re going, and either way, there’s things you should be aware of before making the trip. “Elite: Dangerous” – Getting The Most Out Of It+Bot’s Long Term Plans (Grand Tour)

Hopefully this won’t be a horrendously long post … but it probably will be.  Included in this (probably rambling) post will be a list of links with explanations of how those links will help you get the most out of Elite: Dangerous.  The “backdrop” for the post, though, is my current long term plan, which I’m calling “The Grand Tour”. “No Man’s Sky” Update 1.3: Atlas Rises

I hope by the end of the post you don’t think I hate the game – that wouldn’t be true. It is fair to say that there’s a lot more negative I can say about this update and that the impact of the changes made has really hit home for someone who spent a lot of time putting effort in to both labeling the system and planet names in an informative manner, as well as contributing to the No Man’s Sky Wiki as part of the r/NMSGalacticHub Project. “Elite: Dangerous” – How To Not Be A FuelRat Client (And What To Do If You Become One)

There’s a better than an average chance that everything you’ll read here is also available somewhere on the FuelRats website.  But, writing these posts are as much a learning experience for me as it might be informative for you.  And if my post stops one person from needing our services (or at the very least, makes it easier on us to get to them), it was more than worth it. “Elite: Dangerous” – Screenshots (I?)

Landing on a planet.

I don’t know how many “screenshots” I’ll be taking in this game – when you go into the “camera”, the game doesn’t pause … things keep happening (so getting an action shot could get you killed).  Screenshots from the cockpit aren’t too bad, but until the game developers allow the PS4 players to change the cockpit color, I really don’t want to make you suffer from the orange HUD.

More screenshots (trophy awards, ships, and other stuff) follow … Continue reading “Elite: Dangerous” – Screenshots (I?)
